A Tradition of Music
Yorkminster Park is synonymous with magnificent music.
Whether it’s the choir accompanied by the majestic Casavant organ or the congregation lifting their voices in reverent hymns of praise, vocal and instrumental expressions of faith are an integral part of the Yorkminster Park experience.
The senior choir, under Organist and Director of Music William Maddox, enjoys a reputation as one of the best congregational choirs in the city of Toronto. William Maddox is assisted in conducting the choir, as well as playing the piano and organ by Associate Musician Sharon L. Beckstead.
The youth choir is directed by Dawn King and comprises youth between the ages of 10 and 19 years old. The choir presents a lovely range of artistic selections that are purposely chosen with the young voice mind.
Yorkminster Park presents a series of free organ recitals at 12:30 pm every Wednesday from September through June. The performers selected by our Director of Music, William Maddox, come from around the world.
Our choir has recorded a number of collections of hymns and religious music that are available commercially. Selected anthems are available online in MP3 format.

Visiting Concerts
In keeping with the importance we place as a congregation on the ministry of music, our sanctuary is frequently made available to other choral and concerts groups, which draw appreciative audiences from all over South Ontario. Notice for these concerts are always posted in our weekly calendar, and on this website, so everyone can partake in these enjoyable events.
