Nine Lessons and Carols
December 22, 2024, 4:30 pm

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Sunday, December 22, 4:30 p.m.

Our annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols will feature the congregational singing of carols, anthems by our choir and the nine lessons which this year will be read by clergy from different denominations.

Throughout 2024, the Toronto Council of Churches in partnership with the Toronto Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church has been marking the 60th anniversary of the modern ecumenical movement by highlighting a service in a church of a different denomination each month. We are honoured that Yorkminster Park was chosen as the final church to be highlighted in this important year.

We look forward to welcoming not only our distinguished readers but also visitors from various traditions. The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a beautiful service based on the tradition of King's College, Cambridge dating back to 1918.

The service is also being webcast LIVE.
