Churches on-the-Hill Food Bank is an emergency food program run by volunteers and operated under the auspices of the Daily Bread Food Bank. The program supplies food to individuals and families who have housing but whose income is not enough to make ends meet. There continues to be a constant need for canned goods such as soup, canned fruit, tins of meat, beans, pasta sauce, canned pasta, etc. There is also a need for egg cartons and plastic bags.
Volunteer! Assist with applications, stock shelves, and distribute food. For information on volunteer opportunities, call Timothy Eaton Memorial Church at 416-925-8494.
Thank you also to those who are leaving non-perishable food items – it helps to keep the shelves stocked. The Churches on-the-Hill Food Bank depends on your continued support and has an ongoing need for non-perishable food items. These may be left in the North Hall in the box marked "food bank".
