An exhibition of non-traditional watercolour. Hoyano works on a large scale, utilizing the attributes of paper by folding, crumpling, bending, tearing and repairing its surface. Seemingly random mark making and loosely applied pigment give the appearance of accident, imperfection and aging. These characteristics, often associated with attractiveness, pose the question: What is art and beauty?
