Kirk Mechar, Beautiful Decay, opens Yorkminster Park Gallery's 10th season. Mechar's work straddles a fine line between painting and sculpture. Several strata of material are carefully shaped into multiple layers of hand-carved patterns. These works breathe in an ethereal universe that is at once calm yet powerful, often arresting.
